To relieve the budget shortfall at Tulsa Public Schools, superintendent Deborah Gist has proposed to consolidate the following schools:

  • Remington Elementary School, 2524 W. 53rd St.
  • Park Elementary School, 3205 W. 39th St.
  • ECDC Porter, 1740 W. 41st St.

Students from those schools would be moved into the Clinton Middle School building. Clinton students would move into Webster High School.

No other schools in the district were proposed to be closed or consolidated.

Remington Elementary has a 50th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for Thursday, May 4th. Former students and the community can stroll the halls, mingle with old friends, and share classic memories. It may be the last chance to enjoy the school before it’s only a memory. Remington 50th Anniversary: 6-8 p.m. Open House: 6-7:15. Refreshments: 6-7:15, Program: 7:30-8.
