The Route 66 PatriotFest is a day to honor and celebrate our veterans and active military. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2017, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., along Historic Route 66. The venue covers not only a closed area of the “Mother Road” but also the Route 66 Village at 37th and Southwest Boulevard.  This is a public event uniting everyone in this area and is very family oriented.  This is a way to have Tulsa known as “America’s Most Patriotic City.”

Festival grounds cover Historic Route 66 (Southwest Boulevard) between Union and 39th Street and the Historical Route 66 Village (train depot and derrick).  There will be a KidZone, Patriotic Pet contest, Pin Up contest, military displays, a car and motorcycle show with judging.  Vendor booths are available.  Food Trucks will be on-site.

Organizers are encouraging the military and public to participate in a vehicle cruise.  Travel, on old Route 66, will begin at the Route 66 Gateway on the eastside near East Central High School and end at the west Route 66 Gateway in Historic Red Fork on Southwest Boulevard. Vehicles in the Cruise can range from Model Ts to new Corvettes. There is a minimal cost to be in the Cruise. More info can be found on the website under Events, www.Rt66PatriotFest.com.
